The Archives of American Art holds the papers of several Latino and
Latin American artists as well as original records of collectors,
dealers, critics, historians, galleries, museums and historians.
A published guide is available, The Papers of Latino and Latin
American Artists (1996 and revised edition, 2000). In addition,
a Web site, Archivos Virtuales provides access to all of the
previously published collection descriptions, adding new acquisitions
and detailed finding aids, when available and enhancing it with an
online selection digitized letters, sketchbooks, photographs, scrapbooks,
interview transcripts, and other primary sources.
