Using the Library
The Julian Samora Library reading room and lounge is available for quiet study, research, or for browsing, Mondays through Fridays 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Individual research consultations and course-tailored instructional sessions may be scheduled by contacting archivist Tracy Grimm.
Special rules do apply to the use of the library’s unique primary source materials in order to ensure their preservation and so that all patrons are equally served.
Those rules include:
- Pencil use only; pencils are provided if you do not have one
- No food or drink is allowed in the reading room area
- Materials may not be checked out, however most items may be photocopied
The Library’s lounge is available for student meeting use, informal presentations and events. For more information about reserving the lounge please contact ILS event coordinator, Courtney Maesel at Courtney.maesel@nd.edu.
