Summer Institute for Latino Public Policy

Every summer Latino/a undergraduate students are sent to Washington, DC to experience and observe how public policy is created. The students meet with policymakers, government officials and community leaders and analyzed pressing issues of concern for Latinos in the US. Along with the invaluable experience, the participants enjoy the opportunity to enhance their proficiency in public speaking and leadership skills.

In July, three Notre Dame students will be chosen to participate in the Summer Institute for Latino Public Policy. The Institute for Latino Studies is a part of the Inter-University Program for Latino Research (IUPLR) along with 16 other participating universities in the United States.
