The Department of History and the Institute for Latino Studies invites faculty, students, and staff to a public lecture titled Reimagining Cuban Miami: From Exile Enclave to Multiethnic Metropolis, 1960-2000 by Anita Casavantes Bradford, assistant professor of History and Chicano/Latino Studies at the University of California Irvine. She is the author of The Revolution is for the Children: The Politics of Childhood in Havana and Miami, 1959-1962, which was published by University of North Carolina Press in 2014.
