Dia de los Muertos Altars at NDCAC & IUSB Civil Rights Heritage Center

Location: ND Center for Arts and Culture, 1045 W. Washington St., South Bend, IN

2015 Day of the Dead Flyer

The Annual Día de los Muertos event includes a reception for Un-Titled: An Animated Video Projection by Adriana Corral & Alma Leiva; altars by Maclovio Cantu & Jake Webster, the Educational Programming Department of the NDCAC, and Artemio Rodriguez; and  performances by Mariachi ND & Ballet Folklorico on October 29, 2015 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the NDCAC and at the CRHC.  This event is free, open to the public, and has free parking.  

Altars are dedicated to:

Educational Programming (NDCAC) --- Children’s loved ones & Father Hesburgh

Un-Titled video (NDCAC) --- Victims of narcotics violence

Maclovio Cantu & Jake Webster (CRHC) --- Victims of police & gun violence

5:30 - 6:00 PM Artist Talk and Q&A with Adriana Corral and Alma Leiva at the NDCAC

6:30 - 7:00 PM Performances by Ballet Folklorico & Mariachi ND

5:00 - 5:30 & 6:00 - 7:00 PM Crafts at the NDCAC

5:00 - 7:00 PM Pan de Muerto, Hot Chocolate & Champurrado served at the NDCAC
