Thomas A. Saenz, president and general counsel of MALDEF, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, will be giving this year's Transformative Latino Leadership Lecture at the Institute for Latino Studies. Saenz leads the organization’s efforts to promote the civil rights of all Latinos in the U.S., including defending President Obama’s deferred action immigration initiative before the U.S. Supreme Court in April 2016.
