Huracan 768x1187

An Art Exhibit @ ILS held from September 13 through October 31, 2021.

"El arte al servicio del pueblo: carteles, libros, películas y periódicos de la División de Educación de la Comunidad (DIVEDCO)" ran from 1949-1990 in Puerto Rico.

The campaign included booklets, posters, and films that sought to instruct rural Puerto Ricans about health, family, community-building, sustainability, national history, social justice, democracy, migration, and cultural traditions.

Professor Thomas F. Anderson and Professor Marisel Moreno’s 2020 virtual exhibit is now featured in real life at ILS.

These works were produced by Puerto Rico's most renowned artists and writers. This archive offers a window into Puerto Rico during the second half of the 20th century, one of the most transformative periods in the nation's history. The works included in the exhibit are part of the personal collection of Professors Anderson and Moreno.

Galería América @ ND is open Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
It is located on the 3rd floor of Bond Hall.
