Round 2: Summer CCLP Internship Call for Applications

Author: Institute for Latino Studies

If you missed the December 1 deadline for internships with our nonprofit partners across the nation, the Institute for Latino Studies is excited to announce that the second round of the application for its Summer 2023 Cross Cultural Leadership program will open Friday, January 20 and will close on Friday, February 10.

First round placements will be announced January 20, 2023.

Second round placements will be announced by February 24, 2023.

Why a second round? ILS expanded its program to El Paso, Texas and Queretaro, Mexico. Further, several partners asked for two interns!

CCLP is an extraordinary opportunity for you to immerse yourself in a lively Latinx organization and community. It will also allow you to increase your understanding and engagement in Latinx populations through the virtual course for three credits, taught by the Professor of the Practice and Undergraduate Studies Director, Dr. Karen Richman.

Round 2 CCLP applications are open to all current First Years, Sophomores, and Juniors, in any major and department. First priority for placements was already provided to Latino Studies Supplementary Majors and Minors in round 1. Room, board, and a meals/transportation stipend of $200/week is provided.  The program is offered at no cost to students. Those who successfully complete the internship and 3-credit course, earn $3,000 by fall 2023.
