Letras Latinas and Podquester Mini are proud to present the chapbook launch of A Home Grown Fairytale, Bone Bouquet 2020 by University of Notre Dame MFA alum Suzi F. Garcia. The daughter of a Peruvian immigrant, raised in Arkansas, she has an MFA in Creative Writing with minors in Screen Cultures and Gender Studies.
With an introduction by the ILS' Letras Latinas director Francisco Aragón, the virtual event will feature readings by Carmen Giménez Smith, Marcelo Hernandez Castillo, Derrick Austin, Muna Abdulahi, Charlie Rinehart-Jones, and Suzi F. Garcia.
Garcia is the Executive Editor of Noemi Press and the Online Editor for the Michigan Quarterly Review. She is also one third of Podquester Mini, which covers reality TV and online gaming, specifically Sequester. She co-hosts “Brown Girl Breakdown” with Sharifa Yasmin to discuss race, gender, and sexuality on reality TV.
