Join ILS in the Patricia George Decio Theatre for a performance by Ballet Folklorico de Chicago with an opening dance by ND's Ballet Folklorico Azul y Oro and ILS' dance class students.
Founded in 2018, Ballet Folklorico de Chicago’s goal is to offer cultural and artistic programs to children living on the North side of Chicago. The group offers low-cost Mexican Folklorico dance lessons to both children and adults. Since its creation, BFC has grown to become the largest non-profit organization to offer Mexican Ballet Folklorico in the Midwest. Their aim is to get more people involved in the arts as well as to teach and retain all parts of their culture including dance, language and traditions.
This is a free but ticketed event. Tickets will be available for pick-up at the Ticket Office one hour prior to the performance. To guarantee your seat, please pick up your tickets at least 15 minutes prior to the show. In the event of a sell-out, unclaimed tickets will be used to seat patrons waiting on standby.
